Sundowner Hikes and Outdoor Cooking Classes (New!)
Santa Fe Mountain Adventures has teamed up with the Santa Fe School of Cooking for some outdoor fun! Meet at the school of cooking where you will be picked up and whisked away to the Santa Fe National Forest. You will participate in an energetic, guided hike to explore the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, an easy drive from Santa Fe. The hike will include stops to learn about flora and geology—plus great views of the surrounding area.
Afterwards, your efforts will be rewarded as one of our chefs will whip up a gourmet, Southwestern meal. Savor a glass of local wine and some fresh chips and salsa as the meal is being prepared. Ask questions, learn cooking techniques or just relax and enjoy the sights and smells of northern New Mexico. Meal to include: salsa fresca and guacamole, Southwest paella, flour tortillas, vegetable skewers and peach cobbler.
These events will start at 4 or 4:30 p.m. depending on the month and last approximately 4.5 hours.
Scheduled dates include:
May 8 and 23
June 5 and 20
July 5, 15 and 30
August 12
The cost of $150 per person includes transportation, guided hike, full southwestern dinner, take home recipes, all gratuities and a souvenir water bottle. This activity can also be scheduled as a private event for groups of 10 or more.
